I never considered how hard it would be to find “spare” time to do seemingly simple tasks, until the past couple of months. As such, the blog has fallen down the totem pole and well I have sort of forgotten what happened. Not to mention the fact that I just got pictures done for Christmas cards. Next time I might consider a professional photographer. Aside from Hadley falling flat on her face because Tucker decided that he did not want to hold her anymore, the casualties were kept to a minimum. I did realize that besides NEVER being able to have the patience as a preschool teacher, I would also never have the patience to be a child photographer.
So latest blog update is a blend and will include Thanksgiving. The biggest milestone in the 7th month was Hadley deciding that floor view of everything is for the birds. With that, she is pulling up and standing where ever she can, the crib, train table, us, chairs...you name it, if she can grab on she will pull up and stand. I am not too sure how I feel about this. Tucker sure does not like this since Hadley can now grab trains off the table or anything in standing reach. Tucker’s favorite word, MINE MINE MINE. Or if you ask him to share, NO WAY.
Tucker is a never ending chatter box. In college I had a friend who asked questions ALL the time, so some of my friends limited her to a question quota per day. I wish I could do the same with Tucker because all day I hear “What are you doing mommy?” “What’s this/that mommy?” “ Why are you doing that mommy?” I should be encouraging this curiosity but 7 days a week of these questions I start to go insane.
Thanksgiving we spent in Maryland with Brandon’s family. It was a nice, MUCH NEEDED, quiet day.
Notables:
- One of Tucker’s favorite words – Hoochie. We have NO idea where he learned this and I finally asked what it meant, big poop.
- Tucker will actually tell you left and right. I was shocked.
- Brandon declared that Hadley has “thunder thighs”
- Hadley is officially teething which explains A LOT!
- Tucker likes to give Hadley LOTS and LOTS of Hugs
- Tucker will refer to Hadley as “sweetie” “cutie (cootie)” and “Had’s”
- All I want for Christmas is a baby who will nap in the afternoon!
